Why is this game no longer available on browsers but only through a Windows app?
Flash Player is not supported anymore.
On January 12, 2021, the last recent versions stopped launching Flash content automatically due to a killswitch included in Flash Player itself.
Furthermore, most browsers have removed the built-in plugin through updates.
The Di-Gata Defenders Online game can't work without a Flash player. That's why a Windows application was created.
This app includes official Flash libraries (released end of 2019) to run in standalone mode. It will work even if Flash Player is completely removed from the computer.
Why is the main executable detected as a malware?
It is possible that anti-virus programs detect the file as a malware but it is a false positive.
If this happens, you will need to add the file to the exclusion list of your anti-virus program to avoid being moved to the quarantine.
It is also possible that some browsers and the SmartScreen filter may display a warning when downloading and running. In this case, simply continue anyway.

Why not use a Flash Player alternative like Ruffle?
It seems others alternatives to Flash are not fully compatible yet with this game.
It is planned to migrate the game to work with another player only if it is playable without any bugs and easily deployable.
